Arsenal keen on Szoboszlai – but would he be the perfect Ramsey replacement?

Arsenal have reportedly registered their interest in Hungarian teenager Dominik Szoboszlai – but would the midfielder be a perfect replacement for Aaron Ramsey?

According to football.london, the Gunners have joined the likes of Juventus, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Lazio in the race to sign the RB Salzburg midfielder, who is currently valued at £15m.

The 18-year-old is highly regarded across Europe following his impressive individual campaign in Austria, with Szoboszlai scoring 11 goals and providing 10 assists in 29 appearances.

Szoboszlai appears to have qualities similar to those of Ramsey.

The teenager has the ability to make late goalscoring runs into the box, something the Welshman was best known for during his time at the Emirates.

Szoboszlai has also caught the eye with his ability to drive forward with the ball, as well as having a high-quality range of passing.

And with Unai Emery reportedly having just £45m available to him this summer, spending a third of the funds on Szoboszlai could prove to be an excellent piece of business.

Szoboszlai could take to life in the Premier League with ease and fill the void left by Ramsey, so a deal could be one to keep a close eye on over the summer.
