Arsenal have reportedly set a £10.6m asking price for defender Laurent Koscielny – but should the Gunners part ways with the Frenchman this summer?

According to the Daily Star, Arsenal will listen to offers in the region of £10.6m for the 33-year-old, with German giants Borussia Dortmund thought to be tracking the defender.

Unai Emery looks set to be active in the transfer market this summer, with defensive reinforcements expected to be high on his list ahead of the new campaign.

If the Gunners can bring in some new central additions to their backline, selling Koscielny for the reported fee could be a smart move.

The Frenchman is approaching the latter stages of his career and is entering the final 12 months of his current Arsenal deal, so receiving £10.6m for the player would be a good piece of business.

Koscielny has also suffered from plenty of injury problems during his nine-year stay with the Gunners, however, when fit, he has remained a key figure for Arsenal.

If Emery can secure two or three defensive additions this summer, it may be worth cashing in on the experienced Koscielny, which would then give the Spaniard more funds for the remainder of the window.
