Carrasco admits he has a contract offer, but should Arsenal move for him?

Yannick Carrasco has admitted he has a contract offer from a European club on the table amid Arsenal interest, but would he be a good signing for the Gunners?

The former Atletico Madrid forward has been linked with a return to Europe, having been with Dalian Yifang in the Chinese Super League since February 2018.

Talking to Belgian outlet Nieuwsblad, as reported by FourFourTwo, Carrasco said of an offer from an unidentified club:

There is now an offer on the table and the negotiations with my agent are progressing well.

I’m the most important player in the club, but I hope the chairman understands me.

From a family point of view, I would rather play in Europe and stay closer to my family. The adjustment for my family was also difficult over there.

I have become a lot more mature and have learned a lot. Also on the field, where I had to take my responsibility and the team had to bear. But my wish now is to return.

The Belgium international has previously reiterated his desire to move to the Premier League.

Carrasco is still so young at just 25, and it always felt strange for him to move to China with his career ahead of him, so a return to Europe is a good sign.

For Arsenal, the Belgian would be an exciting signing. He has shown in the past that he has the ability to succeed at the highest level, and the Gunners could do with additional fire power from width.
