Fyodor Chalov would be an exciting signing for Arsenal this summer, as Unai Emery looks to bolster his squad.
According to Sky Sports, the Gunners are eyeing up a move for the 21-year-old CSKA Moscow striker.
Monaco and Sevilla are also believed to be monitoring the Russian, who found the net 17 times in 37 appearances in 2018/19.
It meant he topped the Russian Premier League scoring charts in the process, and he also scored against Arsenal in the second leg of their Europa League quarter-final tie.
Should the north Londoners end up signing Chalov, he would be a hugely exciting signing.
Although the pedigree of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette cannot be questioned, at 29 and 28 respectively, time isn’t necessarily on their side.
Chalov would represent a long-term purchase rather than a quick fix, with Emery in need of rebuilding an ageing squad.
No clear progress has been made by Arsenal, but they do look to be front-runners to bring in the exciting youngster.
