# Arsenal in talks to sign Youssef En-Nesyri – is he good enough?

Arsenal are reportedly in talks over a deal to sign Leganes striker Youssef En-Nesyri, but he is good enough for the Gunners?

According to Moroccan publication [Assahifa Al Ousbouia](https://www.assahifa.com/%D8%B9%D8%B1%D8%B6%D9%8A-%D8%B1%D8%B3%D9%85%D9%8A-%D9%85%D9%86-%D8%A3%D8%B1%D8%B3%D9%86%D8%A7%D9%84-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A5%D9%86%D8%AC%D9%84%D9%8A%D8%B2%D9%8A-%D9%84%D9%84%D8%B8%D9%81%D8%B1-%D8%A8%D8%AE.html), the Gunners have made contact and are in talks as they pursue a deal for the 11-goal striker.

Unai Emery has the tricky task of finding a suitable replacement for both Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer, providing they both stay at the club.

En-Nesyri’s 11 goals in all competitions represent a good return in what is not a great Leganes side. With the ability to play wide or centrally, the Morrocan is a versatile option that Emery can add to his squad.

In a similar way to Tottenham and Harry Kane, the Gunners have the tough task of trying to find a back-up striker who will be fully aware of the limited game time that will be on offer.

A player of En-Nesyri’s stature may just be the market the Gunners are looking in now after missing out on Champions League qualification.

With a fee of around €10m being floated around, a deal to bring in the striker, who is by no means the finished article, could be one of little risk for the Gunners.
