Arsenal are interested in a deal to sign Inter Milan goalkeeper Andrei Radu, but is this a good move for the club?
The player’s agent, Crescenzo Cecere told FC Inter News, as cited on football.london that the Gunners are keen to do a deal.
With Petr Cech hanging up his gloves this summer, Arsenal are in the market for a new number two that can provide competition for Bernd Leno.
Radu is already away from the San Siro, on loan at Genoa for another two years, but Inter do reportedly have the option to recall him and sell him on, should the opportunity arise.
While Emiliano Martinez has impressed out on loan, the 26-year-old does not look ready to provide serious competition to Leno, something Radu, who made 33 Serie appearances in the 2018/19 season, could do.
The goalkeeping department is certainly one that the Gunners need to strengthen and a move for Radu could be a smart piece of business if the price is right with the club working on a small budget.
