Ozil or Mkhitaryan? One of them has to go
It’s so difficult and uncomfortable that we are having such a discussion about our superstars. But it’s inevitable that following this upcoming transfer window we cannot keep both of them.
Even after losing Aaron Ramsey and Denis Suarez, I still feel we must lose one of the two and loan Alex Iwobi out in order to give Joe Willock a chance to prove himself.
Arsenal need to bring in an experienced goal scorer and a playmaker who can create goals, with a work rate that our young talent can learn from.
It seems like Unai Emery prefers Mkhitaryan over Ozil. It also looks like Emery has an enigma to a ‘galactico’. Once a player has a big figure and is well paid at a club, he feels challenged.
Ozil is a good player once the midfield is lively and solid around him, he seems to be finding his rhythm with our deadliest strike force. However, he is still very selective in the games where he wants to perform and perform well or not at all.
While Mkhitaryan is also a very good player on his day, when he is off he is out of the game completely. He has a better work rate than Ozil but lacks character, he seems like he never wanted to come to the club and compete for a place alongside Ozil.
After comparing these two wonderful players, I feel the board should find a market for Mkhitaryan. I would personally want to see Ozil wearing that armband.
Mkhitaryan could fetch us good money compared to Ozil, and with that cash, the club could look to bring in a more aggressive playmaker in the form of James Rodriguez for example, who could be available this summer.
