Four Findings: Arsenal 1-1 Brighton and Hove Albion

Arsenal’s hopes of finishing in the top four of the Premier League suffered a blow on Sunday as Brighton, and Hove Albion held them to a 1-1 draw at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners failed to sign off the season in style in front of their home fans, as the penultimate fixture of their Premier League campaign resulted in an underwhelming outcome.

Arsenal missed a golden chance to strengthen their push for a top-four finish after Tottenham Hotspur lost 1-0 at Bournemouth on Saturday.

Chelsea’s 3-0 win over Watford left them in a good position in the earlier kick-off on Sunday, and their place in the Champions League next season was confirmed following the Gunners’ draw.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang opened the scoring for Arsenal with a penalty, but a spot-kick for the visitors in the second half was dispatched by Glenn Murray, with the scoreline finishing 1-1.

Here are four findings from the disappointing result against Brighton.
