Arsenal are reportedly eyeing a move for Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas, who looks set to leave the club this summer, but would the Costa Rica international be a good replacement for Petr Cech?
According to the Mirror, both the Gunners and Manchester United are interested in the 32-year-old who has just one year remaining on his current deal at the Bernabeu.
Arsenal’s number two, Cech, announced his intention to retire from football at the end of the season in January, and the Gunners are said to be keen on signing Navas as his replacement, but would he be a good replacement?
With Cech set to leave the club at the end of the season, Unai Emery may be looking for keeper with a lot of experience to fill the gap the Czech Republic international will inevitably leave, something that Navas has in abundance.

The Costa Rican has made close to 400 appearances for club and country throughout his career, and has won the Champions League three times and La Liga once during his time with Los Blancos.
His experience both on and off the pitch would be crucial should the Gunners pursue a move for him, given Cech’s departure.
However, Navas is reportedly looking for a move away from the Bernabeu in pursuit of more first team football; something he is unlikely to get consistently at the Emirates given the form of Bernd Leno this season.
And at 32, the Costa Rica international is likely to just be a short term replacement for Cech.
Emery, therefore, may be better suited placing his trust in Arsenal’s young goalkeeping prospects, or using current third choice keeper Emiliano Martinez as an understudy to Leno next season.
