# Arsenal linked with PSG’s Thomas Meunier – would he be a good signing?

Arsenal have reportedly joined both Chelsea and Manchester United in expressing an interest in Paris Saint-Germain defender Thomas Meunier, but with a £26 million asking price, is this a deal Unai Emery should pursue?

[RMC Sport](https://rmcsport.bfmtv.com/mediaplayer/video/thomas-meunier-plus-que-jamais-sur-le-depart-1156958.html) claims that the Belgian defender could be on his way out of Paris if the club’s asking price is met this summer.

There is no doubt that Emery will know all about Meunier’s qualities from his time in charge of the French giants.

The defence is arguably the most important area that Arsenal need to improve this summer and Meunier would certainly do just that. With Hector Bellerin due to miss the start of the season, the Belgian international will fill that role confidently.

A huge positive for Arsenal that could work in Meunier’s favour is his versatility. With Aaron Ramsey leaving in the summer, the Belgian could comfortably slot into midfield and fill the void the Welshman leaves.

At £26m, a relative bargain in the modern market and one that Emery knows well, Meunier could be a very useful signing for Arsenal. With title-winning experience, he would certainly improve the Gunners’ squad.
