Arsenal’s top-four hopes has been significantly dented as they were humbled 3-1 by Wolves at the Molineux.

Ruben Neves, Matt Doherty and Diogo Jota were the scorers for the home side, while Sokratis pulled one back for the visitors late on.

Around the 28th minute, Wolves won a free-kick 25 yards out. Neves stepped up and stroked his effort with pace and precision to give his team the lead.

Nine minutes later, the home side worked a small corner routine and Jonny found Doherty free in the box. The latter just had to put his head to the ball to double the lead for his team.

An Arsenal error freed up Jota to run at their defence at the stroke of half-time and eventually get his shot away. It was actually quite a savable effort but Bernd Leno made a hash of it. Surprisingly, the scoreline read 3-0 to Wolves at half-time.

The Gunners pulled one back later on when Sokratis headed in from Granit Xhaka’s corner. However, it was not enough for them to even get a point.
