Arsenal kicked off their Europa League quarter-final tie with Napoli in fine fashion, beating the Italian side 2-0 in the first leg at the Emirates Stadium.

Aaron Ramsey scored the opening goal inside the first 15 minutes, capping off a great team move following Ainsley Maitland-Niles’ pass.

Napoli centre-half Kalidou Koulibaly deflected a shot from Lucas Torreira into his own net shortly before the 30 minute mark to double the Gunners’ lead/

Alex Meret in between the sticks for the Partenopei performed well to prevent the London club from extending their lead, leaving Napoli within reach of the next round, providing they can fight back at the San Paolo in the second-leg.
