Arsenal will be aiming to take control of the Europa League last-eight tie, when they face Napoli in the first leg at the Emirates.
The Gunners have two pathways to qualify for Champions League football next season. While finishing in the top-four in the league isn’t easy, winning this competition is no mean feat as well.
In hindsight, they have got the toughest draws. To compound matters, Unai Emery’s men lost their previous league game at Everton. That will hinder some of their found confidence.
With Arsenal having an absolutely shocking record away from home, they have to make sure that home advantage in the first leg counts for a lot, before they travel to Naples.
In terms of injury updates, Emery said that both Laurent Koscielny and Granit Xhaka will be assessed before a decision is made.
Here’s how we think the manager may line his team up for tomorrow:
GK - Petr Cech
He is their Europa League keeper and should be in goal tomorrow.
RWB - Ainsley Maitland-Niles
The youngster has been doing well at right wing-back, but tomorrow will be one stern test for him.
CB - Shkodran Mustafi
The experience of Mustafi would be required against a very good Napoli attack. He needs to cut out his mistakes at the back though.
CB - Sokratis Papastathopoulos
He is back from suspension and almost a certainty to start tomorrow.
CB - Nacho Monreal
With Laurent Koscielny not confirmed to start, Monreal may get another chance at left-sided centre-back role.
LWB - Sead Kolasinac
Kolasinac was close to non-existent against Everton. He needs to improve significantly to have an impact tomorrow.
CM - Lucas Torreira
The Uruguayan’s presence in midfield would be a huge plus for Arsenal tomorrow.
CM - Granit Xhaka
He is a doubt but more likely to feature in the XI tomorrow. Arsenal would require his experience in midfield.
CAM - Aaron Ramsey
The Welshman was fit enough to play the second half against Everton. Hence, it is almost certain that he would start tomorrow.
ST - Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Arsenal have to be positive in the home leg, and starting two up front would be a good idea. Hence, we could see Aubameyang with Alexandre Lacazette as a pair.
ST - Alexandre Lacazette
The Frenchman would be aiming to link up play in attack and possibly get a goal or two.
