Arsenal will be looking to strengthen their squad at the end of the season.
The Gunners have been steady under new manager Unai Emery and are currently in a tense battle for a top-four finish in the Premier League.
The north London club also have hopes of lifting the UEFA Europa League trophy this season.
Emery will undoubtedly already be looking at certain players to bring in to the club this summer, but who should he consider targeting from the Spanish La Liga?
We’ve listed some candidates below.
Ousmane Dembele - Barcelona
The Frenchman has found it difficult to settle in at Barcelona. The winger has had his fair share of injury problems but is being watched by various clubs. He would certainly boost Arsenal’s attacking department.
Jose Gimenez - Atletico Madrid
Arsenal are desperate for a commanding defender and the Uruguay centre-back is exactly that. He’s a player who simply loves defending and has a vast amount of experience. Plus, he’s still on 24 years old! The Gunners should try their best to secure his signature.
Junior Firpo - Real Betis
Firpo is highly rated in Spain and is considered as one of the best young defenders in Europe. He is mainly a left-back, but can also operate in central defence and as a wing-back. He’s only 22 years old and will definitely strengthen Arsenal’s defensive unit. He has a £43.5m release clause, so won’t come cheap.
Andre Gomes - Barcelona
Gomes has been a huge success in the Premier League this season during his loan spell with Everton. He is composed on the ball and brings a calming influence to the entire team. He would be a great addition to the Arsenal squad.
Gareth Bale - Real Madrid
Bale is not popular with Real Madrid fans and he could be tempted to move back to the Premier League. He’s a former Tottenham hero, but Arsenal should consider signing him if they want to push for the league title next season.
