Arsenal Player Ratings: BATE Borisov (H)

Arsenal went through to the next round of the Europa League after overcoming a 1-0 deficit and comfortably beating BATE Borisov 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners were good value for their win, as the Belarusian side were guilty of not being able to create enough chances to trouble the hosts’ defence.

Unai Emery’s men took the lead in the fourth minute and wiped out the deficit on aggregate when a Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang cross was turned into his own net by Zakhar Volkov.

They doubled their advantage when a Granit Xhaka corner fell to Shkodran Mustafi, who did well to head the ball into the back of the net.

BATE had one great chance amidst those goals when Stephan Lichtsteiner had to block a shot on the line after Petr Cech was beaten.

Arsenal secured the result at the hour mark when Xhaka’s corner met the run of Sokratis this time. The goalkeeper came and was nowhere near, leaving the Greek international to head the ball into an empty net.

All in all, a job well done by the Gunners. Here’s how we rated the Arsenal players:
