Unai Emery sat with the media in his pre-match press conference ahead of Arsenal’s second leg against BATE Borisov in the Europa League last-32 tie at the Emirates stadium.
The Gunners were given a reality check in the first leg, when the team from Belarus won the game 1-0. The other negative for the North Londoners was the sending off of Alexandre Lacazette, who will now miss the game on Thursday.
Arsenal had a weekend off as they were not involved in the FA Cup action. This means that they have had a full week’s time to prepare for this game and mastermind a way back.
Speaking to the media, Emery provided injury updates, discussed the Mesut Ozil situation, talked about thursday’s opponents and what exactly is needed to go through to the next round of this competition.
The Spaniard also spoke about the need of the supporters in such a game.
