Manchester United have rejected Arsenal’s attempt to sign defender Eric Bailly on loan until the end of the season.
According to Talk Sport, Arsenal made an offer to sign Bailly on loan this month, which Manchester United have now turned down.
Arsenal are seemingly looking to strengthen their defence and have turned to Bailly to improve their central defensive options.
The Ivorian was recently sent off for Manchester United in his last appearance for the club against Bournemouth at the end of December.
The likes of Phil Jones and Victor Lindelof have also kept him out of the team at times, with his opportunities becoming limited.
Bailly joined Manchester United in 2016 for a fee in the region of £30m, but has not lived up to the initial hype of his arrival.
Arsenal were hoping that they could revive his Premier League career and give him a chance at The Emirates, but Manchester United are not so keen on the idea.
