Arsenal are hopeful over a deal to land Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez on loan this month.
According to the Mirror, Arsenal have high hopes that the deal will be completed after holding further talks with Barcelona this week.
Suarez has found game time hard to come by at Barcelona this season, with the likes of Sergio Busquets, Arthur, Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal ahead of him in the pecking order at the Camp Nou.
The report claims that Arsenal want to sign him on loan until the end of the season, before paying £18m to bring him in permanently in the summer.
Suarez, 25, made 27 appearances in all competitions for Barcelona last season – scoring three goals from midfield.
The Mirror also say that Arsenal manager Unai Emery confirmed last week that the club is only able to sign players on loan this month – which is making deals difficult to complete.
