Arsenal are closing in on the loan signing of Denis Suarez from Barcelona in the next week.
According to Mundo Deportivo, via The BBC, Arsenal are set to complete the signing of Suarez next week.
The report claims that Arsenal and Barcelona are on the verge of agreeing a deal which will see Suarez move to The Emirates on loan until the end of the season, with the view to a permanent transfer in the summer.
Unai Emery made it clear earlier this week that Arsenal will only be able to make loan signings this month, with Suarez looking likely to be their first arrival of the window.
Suarez has found game time hard to come by at Barcelona and is ready to make the move to the Premier League to establish himself once again.
The talented midfielder will be competing with the likes of Granit Xhaka, Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi for a starting place.
