Arsenal central defender Laurent Koscielny has rejected the chance to sign for Ligue 1 side AS Monaco this month.
According to Le10 Sport, via Sport Witness, Koscielny has politely told Monaco manager Thierry Henry that he wants to stay at Arsenal until the end of the season.
The report claims that Henry was keen to bring Koscielny over to France to bolster his defensive line, but the Frenchman was not interested in the switch.
He has only recently returned from a long-term injury and has featured in four of Arsenal’s last five Premier League matches.
Since joining the club in 2010, Koscielny has played over 300 games for Arsenal in all competitions and is the club captain.
Unai Emery is short on defensive options at the moment and will be glad to have the experience of Koscielny at the back for the rest of the campaign.
