Unai Emery insists he is respectful of Aaron Ramsey’s choice to leave Arsenal, ahead of a summer move to Juventus.
According to Sky Sports, Emery has been impressed with Ramsey’s commitment and performances, as the Welshman’s move to Italy nears completion,
The 28-year-old is expected to complete a medical on Sunday, with the deal set to be finalised next Wednesday. The move will see Ramsey join Italian giants Juventus in the summer, when his Arsenal deal expires.
Despite Ramsey’s imminent departure, Emery has been pleased with how the midfielder has conducted himself in training and by the way he has played in recent games, saying:
My idea and focus, I say to him every day, is with us. We need his performances for us and the last matches I am very happy with him.
Ramsey joined Arsenal in 2008 and has made over 350 appearances for the North London side, also winning six major trophies during his time at the Emirates.
