Arsenal and Wolves are both interested in signing Porto midfielder Hector Herrera.
According to reports in Italy, as many as six teams are looking to sign the player from the Portuguese side.
Roma, Inter, Sevilla, Atletico Madrid will join the Premier League duo in bidding for the player.
Herrera has been a long-term target for the Gunners and it has been suggested that they could look to the Mexican as a possible alternative to Nicolo Barella, who is believed to be closing in on a move to Chelsea.
The Mexican international is highly regarded in Portugal and has been linked with a move away from Porto for some time.
The player is out of contract at the end of the season and interest in his services is only likely to rise.
Herrera is able to negotiate terms with clubs this month as he approaches the final months of his deal, but Porto will be hoping to keep him until at least the summer.
