Arsenal boss Unai Emery is keen to tie up a deal for Barcelona’s Denis Saurez this January, the Evening Standard reports.
Emery has urged his club to stump up the money for Suarez, whom he managed whilst at Sevilla.
Suarez has found game time hard to come by at the Nou Camp this season and could be on his way out of the club this transfer window.
However, it is believed that Barca will only consider a loan deal for the forward if the Gunners pay £20m now to make the deal permanent at the end of the season.

Barcelona’s asking price for Suarez could prove a stumbling block though with Arsenal having a lack of funds available to them this transfer window.
Upon securing their place in the fourth round of the FA Cup at the weekend where they will face a home time with Manchester United, Emery confirmed that he is keen to sign a centre-back and a winger this January.
Suarez is capable of player in any of the forward positions and could be a good fit for the Gunners if they are prepared to pay Barca’s asking price.
