Arsenal hold a meeting with Yannick Carrasco’s agent

Officials from Arsenal held a meeting with the representatives of Belgium winger Yannick Carrasco yesterday, according to reports.

Carrasco left Atletico Madrid in February of last year to make a move Chinese side Dalian Yifang, but it’s looking increasingly likely that he’ll be moving away from China less than 12 months after arriving in the country.

Unai Emery is looking to add to his squad this month and it seems like he’s keen to bring the 25-year-old to the Emirates as the Gunners are reportedly going to make a bid for him this week.

Carrasco, who became first Belgian to score in a European Cup final when he scored in a losing effort for Atletico Madrid against arch-rivals Real Madrid in 2016, is said to be keen to return to Europe and Arsenal could provide him with the opportunity to return from Asia.

Manchester United seem keen to sign the winger too, but Arsenal will hope to beat them to his signature by acting quickly.
