Arsenal’s hopes of capturing Roma winger Cengiz Under appear to be over with the Gunners reluctant to meet the Italian side’s demands.
Under has been in high demand this month with Chelsea and Bayern Munich believed to be after his signature.
However, according to the Daily Star, both clubs have now dropped out of the race to sign him, paving the way for the Gunners to secure a deal.
Arsenal have already had a £35 million bid rejected and were told to pay closer to the £45 million mark.
Despite Chelsea and Bayern cooling their interest, Unai Emery’s side appear unlikely to return with an improved offer and look ready to pursue other targets.
With a lack of natural wingers in the side, this signing would have proved ideal but Arsenal’s reluctance to splash the cash looks likely to cost them once again.

He has 10 international caps to his name with a tally of four goals and has scored 14 in his 55 Roma appearances, including four in the Champions League.
