Oxford angling for Arsenal move

Reece Oxford is reportedly set to reject a move to Borussia Monchengladbach in favour of a transfer to Arsenal.

The defender made his domestic West Ham debut at the age of 16 against the Gunners in 2015, where the Irons would defeat their London rivals 2-0.

It may seem as though the now 20-year-old has fallen off the map somewhat in recent years, having spent time on loan at Reading and Monchengladbach.

However, there is no shortage of clubs interested in the England U20 star.

With the Bundesliga outfit clamouring for the chance to sign Oxford in a permanent capacity, the player himself is supposedly on the verge of spurning the chance to head to Germany full-time.

It is claimed by Sky Sports that the London-native is keen on joining Arsenal in the summer.

Oxford would represent an addition in one of Arsenal’s key areas of need – centre-half – and would pave the way to finally fire Shkodran Mustafi to the moon.
