Arsenal manager Unai Emery has played down the club’s links to Chelsea defender Gary Cahill, as reported on Football London.
The Chelsea centre-back has emerged as a transfer target for the Gunners in recent weeks.

Arsenal are continuing to struggle in defence and Emery is keen to solve the problem in the January transfer window.
Cahill is becoming increasingly frustrated with the lack of playing time given to him by manager Maurizio Sarri so far this season.
The Englishman has mainly been used in the Carabao Cup and Europa League, with David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger cementing their starting spots in the Premier League matches.
When speaking about Cahill, Emery said:
We didn’t speak about him. It’s not easy, improving our team in the transfer market, but the club is working, watching different possibilities.
Maybe we can sign one or two players.
It is unlikely that the Blues will allow Cahill to move to a direct rival, with both clubs pushing for a top-four finish this season.
