Arsenal manager Unai Emery has delivered an update on the condition of Shkodran Mustafi.
The Germany international was forced off at the interval of the Gunners’ 4-1 win against Fulham on Tuesday afternoon, prompting concerns that he has suffered another injury setback.
Throughout the season, the former Valencia star has been nursing niggling knocks but appeared to have returned to full fitness.
Following the comprehensive victory against Premier League strugglers Fulham at the Emirates Stadium, Gunners boss Emery revealed that Mustafi requested to be withdrawn at half-time.

As quoted by injury data analyst Ben Dinnery, the Spaniard said:
It’s a small injury, a small problem. He didn’t feel well after the 1st half and said for us to change. It’s not a big injury.
He wanted to play today to help us, so maybe we can give him a few days rest to help us. Yes [it’s a hamstring problem].
Arsenal had no trouble defeating Claudio Ranieri’s side despite their central defender’s second-half absence.
Granit Xhaka, Alexandre Lacazette, Aaron Ramsey and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang all netted to cancel out Aboubakar Kamara’s second-half strike for the visitors.
Emery will be hoping to have Mustafi ready and available for his side’s upcoming fixtures against Blackpool and West Ham in the FA Cup and Premier League respectively.
