Ian Wright believes Arsenal’s humiliating defeat to Liverpool showed Unai Emery requires a swift squad overhaul.
The Gunners lost 5-1 at Anfield on Saturday night, with some of the defending on show simply not good enough.
It leaves Emery’s side 16 points behind the Premier League leaders and five adrift of Chelsea one place ahead of them in the all-important fourth spot.
Speaking on his official YouTube channel, Wright urged Emery to make major squad changes, saying several figures aren’t fit to wear the shirt:

What’s got to happen now is we have to move players on who need to be moved on.
What that [Liverpool defeat] showed me is we need players.
There’s about three or four players in that starting line up who should be moved on or should be farmed out in respects of the team because we need to start to progress.
That’s why I’m hoping that defeat will help to release some funds for Unai.
Whether or not Arsenal spend big in the January transfer window remains to be seen, but their season is in danger of petering out.
Their 22-game unbeaten run now feels likely a distant memory, with only one win in their last five outings, in all competitions.
