Reports earlier this week claimed that Barcelona had already agreed a contract with Rabiot, which would see him move to Catalan next summer on a free transfer.

Rabiot is out of contract at the end of the season and will be free to speak to clubs outside of France in January to sign a pre-contract agreement.

However, Barcelona have been quick to deny rumours that they have already agreed a deal, before they are allowed to do so – as per the rules.

Liverpool and Arsenal have both been linked to Rabiot, who has impressed for PSG in recent seasons.

Barcelona do say in their statement, however, that they have had contact with PSG and expressed their interest.
