Mesut Özil has reportedly been left out of Arsenal’s squad for their Premier League tie against Liverpool on Saturday, according to MailOnline.
Unai Emery and his squad arrived on Merseyside on Friday evening, however the Germany international wasn’t pictured with the travelling players.
The 30-year old playmaker was substituted at half-time against Brighton on Boxing Day, amid speculation that his days at the Emirates are numbered.
While there hasn’t been any suggestions as to why the former Real Madrid man has been excluded, talk of training ground arguments and a falling out with manager Emery won’t do the situation any good.
The Gunners are currently 13 points behind Liverpool, who sit six points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
