Arsenal have been boosted by the news that Liverpool will be without James Milner for the game on Saturday.
Speaking at his press conference ahead of the game, Jurgen Klopp revealed that the midfielder will not be ready to face Unai Emery’s men, but he should be back in time to face Manchester City on Thursday 3rd January.
Milner missed the Boxing Day win over Newcastle with a leg muscle injury and the Reds are giving him a long lay off to ensure that he is 100% before they put him back into the team.

Milner has been used at right-back in recent games as cover for the injured Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold, but with Alexander-Arnold and Nathaniel Clyne fit, Milner is likely to be used in midfield when he’s available.
For what many consider the first time this season, the pressure is now on Liverpool in the title race after Manchester City dropped more points away at Leicester on Boxing Day.
