# Lille chief names asking price for Nicolas Pepe

Lille chief Luis Campos has revealed that Arsenal will have to pay €80 million to land winger Nicolas Pepe next month, according to a report from [Metro](https://metro.co.uk/2018/12/23/lille-chief-names-asking-price-arsenal-target-nicolas-pepe-8278892/).

The 23-year-old has played a part in 17 goals in Ligue 1 this season, scoring 12 and providing five more, with Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe the only other player with a better record.

Reports in recent months have suggested that Gunners boss Unai Emery is keen on bringing the Ivory Coast international to the Emirates Stadium next month, after the youngster impressed him when he was manager of PSG.

And despite a potential figure of £40 million doing the rounds in recent weeks, Lille chief Campos has revealed the exact figure to prize the winger away from Ligue 1.

> €80million. But \[any club\] will also have to convince the player.

Pepe’s performances have guided Lille to second in Ligue 1, and with Arsenal having a limited amount of options out wide, they may need to fork out a club record fee to land the forward in the new year.
