Unai Emery has hit back at Sean Dyche, refuting the Burnley managers comments that Arsenal players dived during the Clarets’ 3-1 defeat at the Emirates.
A late Alex Iwobi goal and a Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang brace was enough to see the Gunners comfortably beat Burnley in Saturday’s early kick-off, with Ashley Barnes scoring what eventually proved to be nothing more than a consolation goal shortly after the hour mark.
Arsenal’s win was their first in three, reigniting Emery’s charge for a top four spot, with the London side in touching distance of rivals Chelsea and Tottenham.

Tempers flared in the game however, with Emery and Dyche sharing a heated exchange after the final whistle, with the Englishman unhappy about what he perceived to be diving from the Arsenal players.
And responding to Dyche’s comments, as quoted by TEAMtalk, Emery said:
No. I don’t agree. I think the most important thing is our victory. The things that happen on the pitch between the players and us is our moments.
I think we need to have respect for the referee and for us.
They are an aggressive team with a characteristic that is clear is the game plan. But we have respect and we need to adapt in the game plan to the long ball.
They are more physical than us, that is normal.
