Monaco considering Koscielny approach

Arsenal legend, and current Monaco manager, Thierry Henry is eyeing a deal to sign Laurent Koscielny in the January transfer window.

According to BeinSport journalist Matt Spiro, Henry wants to add experience to his defence and is looking at the possibility of signing Koscielny.

The French defender made his first Premier League start of the season at the weekend, as Arsenal lost for the first time in 23 games – losing to 3-2 to Southampton at St. Mary’s.

With Skhodran Mustafi and Sokratis ahead of him in the pecking order and Arsenal reportedly interested in Gary Cahill, the club could allow Koscielny to join Monaco on loan in January.

Arsenal have used Stephan Lichtsteiner and Granit Xhaka in central defence at times this season, with Rob Holding having been ruled out for the rest of the season.
