Arsenal told to pay £40m to land Cristian Pavon

Arsenal have been told that they will have to pay £40m to land Boca Juniors forward Cristian Pavon in January.

According to The BBC, Boca Juniors have slapped a £40m price tag on Pavon’s head as they look to ward off interest from other clubs.

The report claims that Arsenal are keen to bring him to England next month as they look to bolster their attacking options.

Emery wants a new wide player to add to his squad and Pavon is one of a number of players to have been linked with Arsenal in recent weeks.

Pavon has been capped 11 by Argentina and is impressing for Boca Juniors in Argentine, attracting interest from a host of clubs in Europe.

The 22-year-old has five goals and five assists in all competitions for Boca this season.
