Arsenal have made their first official offer for Roma forward Cengiz Under ahead of the January transfer window.
According to Tutto Mercato Web, via BBC, Arsenal have submitted their first bid for the forward as they look to do business next month.
Unai Emery is keen to strengthen his squad in the transfer window and wants to improve his attacking options in the wide areas.
Cengiz Under was linked to Arsenal over the summer, but Roma were able to hold onto the Turkish star.
The report claims that Arsenal have offered £29m for the forward, after Tottenham had an offer rejected.
Tottenham are said to be considering a second offer, with Arsenal now swooping in to try and seal a deal ahead of their rivals.
The 21-year-old has been in impressive form for Roma this season, with five goals and five assists in all competitions so far.
