Arsenal have reportedly submitted an opening offer worth €32 million for Roma star Cengiz Under.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for the young winger, who has caught the eye with some impressive performances for his side in Serie A this season.
It is believed that Arsenal have sent scouts to observe Under on several occasions as they continue to ponder a January move.
However, according to claims from Tuttomercatoweb, as cited by Football Italia, it seems a formal approach has already been made by the Premier League club.
Unai Emery’s team have reportedly seen an initial bid worth €32 million turned down by Roma, as the Gunners aim to ramp up their pursuit of the Turkish playmaker ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
Arsenal’s interest in signing Under is clear but if they are to prise him away from the Stadio Olimpico, it is reported that they will need to meet the Italian club’s asking price of €50 million.
