Arsenal eye Bailly swoop to replace Holding

Arsenal are eyeing up a swoop for Manchester United central defender Eric Bailly to replace Rob Holding.

According to ESPN, Arsenal are considering deals for Bailly and Chelsea’s Gary Cahill as they look to find someone to take Holding’s place.

Holding has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering ligament damage in their draw with Manchester United last week.

The report claims that Arsenal are ready to sign a replacement in January, with Bailly and Cahill top of the list.

Bailly has been linked to Arsenal several times this year, after falling down the pecking order at Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho.

Cahill, meanwhile, is free to leave Chelsea with Maurizio Sarri preferring others ahead of the former England international.

ESPN claim that Unai Emery is a big fan of Bailly, after watching him play for Villarreal in Spain, whilst Emery was managing Sevilla.
