Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi could play a key role in Arsenal’s pursuit of a January deal for Ousmane Dembele.
Reports have claimed that the Argentinian star wants Barcelona to keep hold of the French winger, despite continuing claims that he could be sold in the new year.
Such is Messi’s power at Barcelona, the club could well keep hold of Dembele in a bid to keep their key man happy.
We are happy for Dembele. Today he has scored again and is animated and will do very well. We need Dembele.
Dembele has struggled to break into the Barcelona team this season and following increased concerns over the player’s attitude off the pitch, he has been linked with moves to the Premier League.
Both Arsenal and Liverpool have been credited with an interest, but Barcelona are unwilling to lose him on the cheap having spent big to sign him from Borussia Dortmund.
Despite working his way back into the Barcelona squad in recent weeks, reports of a move away from the club have not slowed down.
