# City hoping to beat Arsenal and Chelsea to Under deal

Pep Guardiola is reportedly ready to beat both Arsenal and Chelsea to the signing of Cengiz Under from Roma.

[According to reports from the Express,](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1056307/Manchester-City-transfer-news-Guardiola-Under-exclusive) the City boss has been left impressed by the scouting reports he has received on the Turkish winger.

Under is being heavily linked with a move to the Premier League as he continues to stall on a new contract with Roma.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea have been linked with £50 million moves, with the player impressing in Serie A this season.

The report hints that the wages on offer in the Premier League compared to what he is earning in Italy means that a move to England is increasingly likely.

Bayern Munich are also known admirers, but the German side are unlikely to be able to match the wages that could be put on the table by the Premier League sides.

Chelsea and Arsenal will be hopeful of luring Under away from City’s grasp with regular game time far from guaranteed due to the plethora of talent available to Pep Guardiola.
