Arsenal are reportedly considering selling star midfielder Mesut Ozil for just £25million in January, talkSPORT reports.
Ozil has struggled to make an impact for the Gunners this season with both form and fitness being an issue for the German.
Ozil has missed the last three Arsenal games with a back issue and has not turned out for the Gunners since November 11 when Unai Emery’s side drew 1-1 with Wolves.
Currently earning a staggering £350,000 a week, Arsenal are believed to be willing to cash in on the player in January for a cut-price to reduce their wage bill, having become frustrated by the play-maker’s inconsistent performances.
The 30-year-old has been linked with a potential transfer to Serie A giants Inter Milan in recent weeks, and Italy could prove to be a potential destination for Ozil.
Ozil was one of the Arsenal players reported to have taken ‘hippy crack’ just days before the season began earlier this week, which almost certainly hasn’t helped his bid to impress new boss Emery.
