Rob Holding has taken to Twitter to thank everyone involved with the club for their support following the news that he has sustained a long-term knee injury.
Holding was taken off the pitch on a stretcher during the Gunners’ 2-2 draw with Manchester United on Wednesday night.
As a result of the clash, Holding has been ruled out for up to nine months after he ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

This has been met with disappointed but supportive fans and Holding is thankful for the reaction and support he has received.

The 23-year-old has made 16 appearances for Unai Emery’s side this season and has started to really impress with his performances.
Holding has played a big part in the side’s 20-game unbeaten run and has been able to adapt to both four and five at the back formations, establishing a good partnership with summer signing Sokratis.
It is evident that this has not come at a good time for Holding and he is clearly disappointed that he can not continue to help his side in what promises to be an exciting remainder of the season.
