Mesut Ozil is reportedly odds-on to join Manchester United in January, report the Daily Star.
The Arsenal forward has been frozen out by Unai Emery of late, with his omission coinciding with an excellent run of form for the Gunners.
Speculation has dogged Ozil’s future for a while now and the end of his career in north London looks to be in sight.
While the 30-year-old has been linked with a move abroad, he is actually favourite to join one of Arsenal’s biggest rivals next month.
United are favourites to acquire his signature in the next transfer window, allowing Ozil to link up with his former Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho.

Coral spokesman John Hill told Starsport:
“It looks like Mesut Ozil is going to be on the move in January and we are seeing one-way traffic for Manchester United to capture the out of favour midfielder from Arsenal.”
It would mean he goes the same way as Alexis Sanchez, who traded the Emirates for Old Trafford back in January.
The Chilean has a suffered terrible time at United, however, which may be a word of warning to Ozil.
Ironically, his current body language and general morale would fit right in that Old Trafford currently.
