Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has claimed that his best form is yet to come.
The Gabon international has netted ten Premier League goals already this season, which makes him the current top goalscorer in the division.
He has, incredibly, scored from each of his last 10 shots on target in the Premier League, after scoring his first goal against Cardiff earlier this season.
Aubameyang joined the club for a record-fee in January from Borussia Dortmund and has scored an impressive 22 goals in 32 games.
Speaking to The Evening Standard, Aubameyang said this:
I don’t know if you can compare me to them because they are legends already. I have a lot of work to do to achieve their goals.
It’s tough to achieve these goals because [Henry and Wright] did a lot of things for the club and scored a lot of goals.
I am here and I am trying to do my best to achieve their goals.
I think I’m not at 100 per cent, but it’s coming.
It’s coming and against Spurs I felt very good on the pitch. I’m really happy because my best form is coming.
The striker netted twice against Tottenham in the North London derby last weekend, as Arsenal won 4-2 at The Emirates.
