On the eve of Arsenal’s latest trip to Old Trafford one may hope, that along with the rejuvenated mood surrounding the club, Unai Emery can tinker with old traditions and walk away from tomorrow’s game with a win.
Since the days of Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp the Gunners have often left old Trafford with nothing and if you remember back to 2011 United managed an 8-2 win that I’m sure still haunts Arsenal fans to this day.
However, under Unai Emery the Gunners seem more resilient and have the bite that all top teams have to show when a game isn’t playing out in their favour. After losing their first two matches of the season Arsenal have bounced back, staying unbeaten the next 19 matches in all competitions, combining scintillating performances with hard fought wins.

Even after impressive performances against Spurs and Liverpool the real test of this new Arsenal team is this, Manchester United away. If the Gunners can pick up all three points tomorrow evening then it will really show that they have turned a corner and are once against a force to be reckoned with in the Premier League. It can be said that this is a weaker United team and a result against this team will not be as spectacular as one against a United team of old, however 2 wins in the first half of the season against Manchester United and Tottenham is something previous Arsenal teams have failed to do and would massively boost their chances of finishing in the top four.

With Jose Mourinho once again struggling in his third season, this might be the perfect time to play United and the Gunners would be able to widen the gap to 11 points with a win almost leaving the Red Devils out of the race for the top four by early December. This means that tomorrow’s meeting is already a must win for United if they have any hope of achieving anything in the league this season.
Gunner’s fans will surely be salivating at the thought they could topple both Tottenham and Manchester United in the space of 4 days.
