Arsenal will go into Wednesday’s clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford full of confidence after coming from 2-1 down to defeat Tottenham Hotspur 4-2 on Sunday afternoon.
A win at Old Trafford will see Arsenal move 11 points clear of United, a gap which Jose Mourinho’s men will do well to make up.
Granit Xhaka is unavailable for the game due to suspension, whilst Mesut Ozil is unlikely to take part due to back spasms.
With that being said, here’s the XI we think Unai Emery will select for the game.
Despite the presence of Petr Cech, Bernd Leno is the clear number one and will start at Old Trafford.
Emery will likely stick with his back three which means Mustafi stays in the side.
Sokratis has done well in recent games and will keep his place.
Rob Holding makes up the back three
Hector Bellerin loves to attack and he’ll have license to do that from right wing-back
Lucas Torreira has earned plenty of plaudits after his derby performance. Let’s hope he has reason to celebrate once again on Wednesday.
With Xhaka suspended, we expect Matteo Guendouzi to come into the midfield.
Aaron Ramsey came off the bench against Spurs but we think he’ll start in the advanced midfield role at Old Trafford as Emery freshens up his side.
Sead Kolasinac will get the nod at left wing-back once again.
Alexandre Lacazette came off the bench at the Emirates but we think he’ll be on from the start on Wednesday evening.
Lacazette will partner Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has scored with his last ten shots that have been on target.
