Arsenal look set to miss out on the signing of Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski.
The Gunners have been linked with a move for the Polish international ahead of the January transfer window.
It was reported that the 24-year-old had been lined up by Unai Emery’s side as a potential replacement for Aaron Ramsey, whose future at the Emirates Stadium is uncertain as his contract continues to run down.
However, it is claimed by Italian news outlet Calciomercato that Zielinski intends to put pen to paper on a new deal in Naples.

Negotiations between the midfielder and Carlo Ancelotti’s club have been ongoing for several months now and it seems a resolution on his future is close to being reached.
The former Udinese star has been in impressive form for Napoli this season and has caught the eye with some standout displays in the middle of the pitch.
Arsenal are understood to be on the lookout for potential midfield signings ahead of Ramsey’s proposed departure, but the prospect of signing Zielinski appears to now be unlikely.
