# Former Arsenal man believes Ramsey should join West Ham

Former Arsenal defender Lauren believes that West Ham would be a good fit for Aaron Ramsey.

The 27-year old Wales international is soon set to leave the Gunners, with his contract at the club set to expire next summer after a four-year extension was withdrawn in September.

Since then, a plethora of clubs have begun to line up in the hopes of securing Ramsey’s signature, with Bayern Munich reportedly the front-runner.

However, member of Arsenal’s Invincibles’ squad Lauren believes that Ramsey should remain in the capital, with the Hammers a good fit for him.

Talking to [Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11670/11567652/aaron-ramsey-would-suit-west-ham-move-from-arsenal-says-former-defender-lauren), Lauren said:

> He wants to play. The club are looking at other ways but as a player you have to find your own way.

> If you don’t have the first-team shirt you have to go elsewhere. If I was him I would stay in London because he knows the city.

> Somewhere like West Ham would fit him. It would give him the leadership he needs and he is based in London so I think he has to stay at a London club.
