Arsenal will miss out on the chance to sign Newcastle goalkeeper Freddie Woodman, with Leeds closing in on a loan deal for the player.
The Bristol Post reports that the player will head off on loan to the Championship, but remains part of Newcastle’s long-term plans.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side have been searching for an emergency loan signing after an injury crisis briefly left them with no senior goalkeeper.

Both Arsenal and Celtic were linked with moves to sign Woodman but would reporteldy have prefered the chance to land the player on a permanent basis.
Woodman is highly rated at Newcastle but has long been linked with moves away from the club amid concerns about his first-team chances.
Arsenal are likely to be in the market for a new goalkeeper when Petr Cech leaves the club.
At the age of 36, the ex-Chelsea man is approaching the latter stages of his career, meaning Arsenal will need another back-up to Bernd Leno.
